In Maclean’s, I wrote about how Danielle Smith is fusing corporate and state power to build what I call the New Authoritarianism in Alberta.
For the Globe and Mail, I penned an op-ed about how there may in fact be less to Smith than meets the eye.
In this week’s Forward Canada newsletter, I take a look at the Alberta Transition Council’s plan for Indigenous rights in an independent Alberta, which assumes that First Nations leaders, who unanimously oppose having a separatist referendum, would be willing to sit down and negotiate with separatist leaders.
