For The Maple, I reported on how the federal NDP came to accept last-minute Liberal amendments to its Palestine motion two weeks ago, and whether the motion passed actually represents a change in Canada’s approach to Israel and Palestine.

At the Progress Report, I wrote about Alberta NDP leadership hopeful Jodi Calahoo Stonehouse’s tenure on the Edmonton Police Commission. In May 2022, she attempted to get another commissioner fired for employing an Indigenous law student who’s critical of police — an episode which has been totally absent from coverage of her leadership campaign.
