How about we make the fossil fool companies pay for a demonstration project before they get taxpayers' money. The project should demonstrate that they can capture carbon not only from activities in the tar sands but also from scope 3 emissions, which are the emissions spewed when their product is burned by end users. That should keep them busy until we can transition to renewables.
