Thanks Jeremy for your venture into the Weird World Circus cult. Had no doubt the clowns and grifters would endorse the ringmaster. Alberta had a poor reputation under Klein, but the UCP has managed to take it to a new low. Alberta is now more than ever a magnet for every carpetbagger, grifter, and batshit crazy conspiracy theorist in the world. The new Alberta Advantage. The Black Hat boyz???? Really Alberta. I'm surprised there weren't chants of U.S.A. U.S.A. And no Open Carry or Stand Your Ground policy. That's disappointing. It'd be fun shopping with a glock on my hip or a shotgun hanging off my shoulder.

On the brightside the federal Liberal and NDP parties were handed a gift for the next election if they have enough smarts and guts to use it. The UCP is a clone of the Harper/Poilievre CPC with the same backroom people and dark money donors and the same agenda. Canadians need to be made aware of what is behind Poilievre's memes. It is a power grift feeding off legitimate fears (which need to be acknowledged and addressed not ridiculed) of a rapidly changing and out of control world where the familiar is disappearing and economic expectations have been destroyed..

If there were any doubts before that Canadian conservatism (the conservatism that demanded intellectual rigour and respected academic achievement) is dead this definitely should make it clear. It's the bait and switch grift. Canadian conservatism is dead replaced with MAGA and the Grift.

The good news is, they are out in the open....now it is going to be interesting to see if we talk about it in Alberta, and if the majority of Albertans have the courage, the language ability and the goodness of heart to talk about this rising tide of irrationalism without resorting to the same kind of demonization the UCP radicals are using to push their agenda against their 'imagined' other.

The outright lies might be a good place to start. Thanks to the Black Hatters we now know the details of the land transfer on Haida Gwaii.....current private property WAS NOT CONFISGATED BY THE LAND TRANSFER.

What I find interesting is that the UCP right flank somehow believes they can blatantly lie about reality........and get away with it. In the case of CO2 in the atmosphere being too low rather than too high: Perhaps its time more of us radical lefties got our ducks in line vis a vis climate change?

You can't fight disinformation or blatant lies.,...if you too are scant on the details. Too few Canadians understand exponential growth........or why CO2 in the atmosphere is a massive threat that has little to do with the biological fact that plants need CO2 to thrive. God is in the differences...as is our future resilience.

To some extent, our desire that everything be the same...simple and universal in application...is a fallacy all of us need to disabuse ourselves of, and quickly. Sloppy silver bullet thinking is partly what is fueling these folks....arriving at conventions in bullet proof vests....with violent rhetoric defending the indefensible.

We are not their enemy. Let's stay clear about that. From the evidence Jeremy presents, its seems that complex reality/objective truth, is.

Love your last sentence. Sums up the whole UCP/MAGA weird world view perfectly.

I'm reminded of a line from Shakespeare...though I forget the play. It went like this:

"Some of us are born great, some of us achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them"....it may not be completely accurate...but if we substitude 'stupidity' for greatness......it rather fits the UCP reality just now.

I'm trying to imagine what right wing conservatives of sound mind are going to do with all of this fantasy and paranoia?

Feels like we're going to need all the comic relief we can latch onto...only consolation: It's worse south of the border.

They sound like Trump aka MAGA supporters because they are. Devin Dreeshen, our Minister of Infrastructure and Economic Corridors, proudly wore the red MAGA hat and volunteered on Trump's 2016 campaign. Don't know about the 2020 campaign. Their dark money US donors also fund MAGA although they will claim it's the Republican Party. The media should ask him, as well as every UCP elected official two questions: 1) Did Trump lose the the 2020 US Election and 2) Do you still support Trump even after Trump was convicted of 34 felonies involving fraud and is an adjudicated rapist?

You are most welcome. And thank you for checking it out. Speaking of "tip of the iceberg" may I refer you to The Breakdown AB podcast Episode 6.63 The Skybox Network Exposed. There should be a warning on it for anyone who has high blood pressure.

It does get rather sticky. My take about Poilievre not getting security clearance is connections to what and who an in depth security check will reveal. It's just a spidey sense, but it might have something to do with the Alberta UCP government foray under Kenney into crypto currency as part of diversifying Alberta's economy and the involvement of FTX Trading. Sam Bankman Fried was going to open a Canadian branch of his scam in Calgary, but then he was arrested. Poilievre was a big promoter of crypto being the future for the Canadian economy. He made ads about it. He never mentions it anymore and no MSM journalists ask him about it.

Interesting about Mike Roman's high level role in the IDU. He is identified as P4 in the Jack Smith DoJ brief on Trump's instigation of the J6 Insurrection that is currently before the court. There were some other state level charges, but I believe he entered into a proffer agreement to avoid prosecution.

I too have my fingers crossed for Harris. Western liberal democracy has been put on what Sun Tzu in The Art of War calls "death ground". It is clear there has

to be some major overhauls in our political systems to protect democracy. It's time to get money out of politics and elections. It is ironic in the US election the economy is cited as the main concern of voters, but no one bats an eye when billionaires "donate" hundreds of millions of dollars to political parties. It's shameful.
