learning that local cops searched his name in their database twice in February — once after he promoted a protest of the Alberta Recovery Capital Conference and again after he filed an unrelated FOIP request. Police won’t say why, but maintain the searches were for “legitimate business purposes.”Here’s Euan’s take on the situation:
In Alberta Jewish News, I wrote about Red Deer Catholic school board trustee Monique LaGrange — a distant cousin of Health Minister and former Red Deer Catholic trustee Adriana LaGrange — comparing the fight for 2SLGBTQ+ rights to Nazism. As Evan Balgord of the Canadian Anti-Hate Network says in the piece, “anybody even tangentially involved in education” ought to know the Nazis’ beliefs on 2SLGBTQ+ people.
