I did some reporting on U.S.-based far-right troll Chris Rufo’s keynote speech at the Canada Strong and Free Network for Canada’s National Observer. It turns out Rufo is impressed by federal Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre.
At The Maple, I wrote a rebuttal to a misguided piece it published a couple weeks ago, which seemed to suggest that the majority of Canadian Jews are uniquely complicit in Israel’s slaughter in Gaza.
I find the notion quite distasteful, in addition to being flat out wrong, that Jewish Canadian supporters of Israel are more important source of Canada’s institutional support for Israel than the politicians, business executives, propagandists and lobbyists—most of whom aren’t Jewish—actively abetting it.
For Alberta Native News, I wrote about the 76th Emmys, which was historic for featuring the first Indigenous lead actor nominee and the first two Indigenous women supporting actor nominees.
