For Jacobin, I wrote about a recent academic study that found fossil fuel companies were undercounting tar sands pollution by anywhere from 1,900% to 6,300%, which I argue calls Canada’s entire industry-appeasing approach to combatting the climate crisis into disrepute.
I went on the Progress Report to talk about the worst things Jason Kenney did as a cabinet minister and premier.
I’ll be speaking and signing books at Audreys bookstore in downtown Edmonton at 2 p.m. today. During the week, I’m off to Calgary, Lethbridge and Red Deer. For people in Medicine Hat, Grande Prairie, Fort Mac and, my hometown, Toronto, stay tuned.
