Chrystia Freeland's Neoconservative Foreign Policy Record

On Dec. 16, I went on the Canadian Foreign Policy Institute’s Talking Foreign Policy show to discuss Chrystia Freeland’s tenure as minister of global affairs from 2017 to 2019 in the wake of her surprise resignation from Cabinet.

I spoke to host Yves Engler about how Freeland’s simplistic view of geopolitics translated into an “America First” foreign policy, which informs her support for Israel and coups against left-wing governments in Latin America.

We also discussed the whitewashing of her Nazi propagandist grandfather’s wartime activities as a product of her wholehearted embrace of Ukrainian nationalist ideology.
